Institute of Communications and Navigation,
Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) e.V. Wessling, Germany.
Anupama Hegde works as a post doctoral researcher at the Institute of Communications and Navigation, DLR, Germany. She contributes and leads research projects that focus on the architecture, design and performance evaluation of wireless communication protocols for 6G Satellite Constellation Networks (SCNs). She studies specific topics in the physical layer such as radio resource allocation and waveform shaping techniques for cellular and satellite communication networks.
She received her PhD degree (Dr.-Ing., sehr gut bestanden) from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU), Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2024. It was a cooperative doctoral programme with the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) under the Bayerisches Wissenschaftsforum (BayWISS) grant. In her PhD dissertation, she has investigated the standard (3GPP/ETSI) compliant radio resource allocation mechanisms in Cellular V2X networks and designed equivalent reinforcement learning based algorithms. Collaborating with the industry partners, she has performed real-world tests, measurements and demos for different V2X application scenarios. She received her masters degree (M.Sc.) with specialization in Communications Engineering from Universität Stuttgart in 2017.
